I know i can read music better and understand it a lot more.  My study habits have not been amazingly improved for studying ap.  But i get to the piano and play some things every once in a while.   One thing i do enjoy is that i listen to music and critique it more. (Figure out the time signature, melody lines and things like that)  I have gained a better understanding definitely.
